Launching this week, Dish Cult will be the UK and Ireland’s brand new dining companion for remarkable restaurant experiences. Replacing ResDiary.com, Dish Cult enables diners to easily find your venue, then book commission-free via website, and mobile app. Your ResDiary microsite will automatically become a Dish Cult listing. With bigger images, easy to access menus, and a bold booking button. To get the most from it – make sure all your information, images, and menus are up to date.

As a ResDiary customer, you receive a free listing on dishcult.com to drive more bookings to your venue. To get this to display there is some key information that we require from you that can be added via th Venue and Microsite settings pages in your Diary. Read our guide.

You can easily see how many bookings you are receiving from DishCult.com by logging into your diary, and clicking on Reports and selecting Booking report.Then all you need to do  is set the dates you want to pull the data from, and group by channel.Dish cult is automatically created as a booking channel in your diary. Watch our video guide for extra help.

Yes. Your promotions will show on the booking widget on DishCult.com. When creating your promotions please ensure that the Dish Cult channel is selected in the channels tab. If you are creating a new promotion it will already be pre-selected.

(Please note that the promotion will only show online from the start date of the advertisement period so if you want the promotion to show right away, the advertisement period should start on the day you are creating it.)

Yes. We can process deposits, payments, and securely store credit card details. These are powered by Stripe, and are fully PCI compliant.

If you find your listing is not showing please contact our team on [email protected] who will be able to troubleshoot, and solve the problem.

Venues can set a custom message to display on the DC Widget if there’s no availability for them. In the settings menu visit Diary Configuration – Online settings – Interface settings -ResDiary Widget and Portal Settings and add your No Availability Message.

No. Menus are displayed on the restaurant microsite next to the widget.

You can update your exact location using your address and GPS coordinates. To make this change please visit Diary – Settings –  Venue- Microsite Details. Ensure your address details are correct and then click the update geolocation button to complete the process and fix your location.

The search is based on the user’s location, either on their phone if using the app, or their browser location if using the website. If a location doesn’t show up, eg. a small town somewhere, this will be because we currently have no restaurants there at present. Restaurant’s in the closest locations to the user will be displayed in this case.This is just V1 of Dish Cult. The team will be adding cusine-search, and Increased personalisation based off customer booking data in the coming months.

Great images are enticing to diners. To make your listing stand out we recommend the following:

Main image requirments: 

  • Only 1 main image
  • Minimum size: 1920px (W) x 1080px (H)
  • Max 5MB, format: JPG/PNG
  • Landscape/horizontal format
  • Preferably an image of your dishes or venue
    • Do not upload your venue’s logo
    • Select “Main Restaurant Image” when uploading the image

Other image requirements:

  • All formats (portrait/landscape) are acceptable
  • Maximum 29 images
  • Should be at least 600px width, max 5MB, format: JPG/PNG
    • Select “Application image” when uploading the image.

 

You can upload a PDF of your menus up to a maximum file size of 5mb.

Yes.  You can sell your ResDiary vouchers via  your listing on dishcult.com.

The Dish Cult content team loves to hear the latest news and events happening at ResDiary customer’s venues. They will be sending out Monthly call outs for submissions, to potentially be featured the following month, across Dish Cult’s Website, Social channels, and email comms. These features take the form of round-ups, lists articles, and local guides.
