Father’s Day; a day traditionally laden with patterned socks, dodgy ties and musky aftershaves. Sunday June the 18th is fast approaching and at ResDiary we have decided to shake things up a little for Father’s Day this year.  Read our handy list of the coolest venues in London to wine and dine your padre.

MEATliquor N1: For the burger lovin' dad

Nothing says Happy Father’s Day like treating your old man to dinner in a car garage surrounded by CCTV cameras, right? Let us elaborate.  MEATliquor N1 is a meaty dystopian taste experience located in an abandoned garage in Islington. Don’t be fooled by the tough exterior this place lovingly serves up  devilishly good food and drink.   If your dad is a child of the 60’s treat him to a classic Dead Hippie burger, made with 2 French’s mustard fried beef patties and a special dead hippie sauce.

Where: 133B Upper St. London N1 1PQ
Price: £15-20

The Regency Club For: The spicy Dad

Variety is the spice of life, and if your Dad is a spice boy, then you can’t go wrong with The Regency Club.  Having been in the business for over 20 years The Regency Club are pioneers when it comes to delicious Indian cuisine in the UK (you could even call them The Daddy’s of it!).  When it comes to flavours this is a far cry from your Dad’s usual curry haunts back in the 70’s, with food boasting an unusual mix of influences from Kenya and India.  We recommend the mix grill which includes classics like; chicken tikka, speciality regency kebabs and mushkaki – boneless spring lamb fillet pieces marinated in a blend of spices.  We even recommend you bring your Nan along – no, not that one – Regency’s deliciously crispy tandoori naan of course!
