Working with Sat Bains? Check. Running your own supper club? Check. If the stunning interior of Alchemilla isn’t enough to convince you this is one of the coolest restaurants in Nottingham, the credentials of chef/owner Alex Bond will. This gorgeous space is home to a seasonal menu that changes almost daily, depending on the produce that the chefs can procure. Choose from a five, seven, or ten-course menu with matched wines, or book in for a special “Kitchen Table” experience. Here you will sit in the kitchen, overlooking the chefs preparing your food. If you’re a budding cook, you can even book in to join the team in the kitchen for a morning, honing your refined cooking skills.192 Derby Road , Nottingham, United Kingdom, NG71NF Book Alchemilla
You can’t do a list of cool restaurants in Nottingham without including Alex Bond’s mentor, and the area’s most famous chef, Sat Bains. His two Michelin-star restaurant is a pioneer of culinary inventiveness, known for interesting takes on classic dishes and great customer service. There’s no ala carte menu at Sat Bains, just two tasting menus, with a choice of either seven or ten courses, and the menu changes regularly depending on the seasons. If you’re a big fan of chef shows, you should definitely get yourself down here and taste the food of this famous local.Lenton Ln, Nottingham NG7 2SA Book Sat Bains

George’s Great British Kitchen
Think classic British food in a spot that includes beach huts, comfy sofas, and a stunning bar and you’ve got George’s Great British Kitchen. The menu is impressive with whole sections dedicated to pies and food in a bun. One of our personal favourites is in the starters section; a mushy pea fritter with creamy horseradish; George’s take on the traditional mushy peas we all know and love. Wash your meal down with their inventive cocktails which include creations topped with candy floss and a whole section dedicated to the “Sweet Shop.” (Try out the Refresher, it really tastes like the 80’s favourite.)13 Queen Street, Nottingham, United Kingdom, NG1 2BL Book George's
Anywhere with the tagline “Drink, eat, meat, repeat” has got their priorities straight. And if you’re in Nottingham, you should get yours lined up too and head here for a visit. Just outside the city in nearby Long Eaton, and housed in an old Victorian warehouse, The Butchers is as trendy a restuarant as you’ll see. High ceilings, indoor street art, and cool tunes make this popular with the locals, but it’s the food that brings people from afar. Obviously the menu is meat-dominated with well-known cuts like the bavette and the rump sitting alongside more adventurous steaks like Denver, cut from the chuck, and the Onglet, cut from the lower belly. You can pair your meat with an array of sauces and butters, and delicious sides like truffled blue cheese mac, or josper charred slaw.
