The Devonshire Cat

We swear that no felines were harmed in the making of this Sunday roast. Instead Sheffield favourite, The Devonshire Cat, serves up a variety of roasts every Sunday, topped off with their homemade yorkies. We strongly believe that roasts should always be eaten in comfort and the Dev Cat’s cos surroundings make it the perfect spot to kick back of a Sunday. They’re also owned by the Abbeydale Brewery, which means they serve a huge variety of craft and cask beers, perfect for a hair of the dog.

Broadfield Ale House

Renowned for doing a right good Yorkshire pie, the guys at The Broadfield are no slouches when it comes to cooking up a mean roast either. Every Sunday they offer a selection of beef pork, and nut roasts, served with a huge Yorkshire pud and all the trimmings. If you’re feeling particularly starving you can even double up on your meat for an extra £2. (Even Joey Tribbiani would get the meat sweats from that challenge!) With veggie, vegan, and coeliac options, it’s a great place for a Sunday roast in Sheffield if you’re with a big group.

Waggon and Horses

Any venue that serves over 30 gins alongside their Sunday lunches is a winner in our eyes. Even better, they have a lovely beer garden so you can enjoy your food and drinks in the sun. (Which admittedly doesn’t appear that often in Sheffield….) They serve five (FIVE) roast weekly, with a rotating roast of the day. Technically this means you could spend every Sunday there and never get bored, especially as they have a drinks menu as long as your arm to peruse. Bring the family, bring the dog, and relax away your final weekend hours.
