As some of you may have heard, ResDiary has been purchased by AccorHotels, in what is a really exciting move for myself, our team, and you, our partners.
This is a big change for us as, since we began in 2004, we’ve always been a privately-owned company. We started with a (relatively) small investment in today’s terms, and we’ve grown organically since. I’ve always believed our success has come from the fact that myself and most of the team are hospitality veterans, and we’ve built a product we would have wanted to use while in the industry.
That’s why our acquisition by AccorHotels feels like the right next step for the growth of ResDiary. I started this business with the mission of becoming “the best restaurant reservation system in the world” and Accor’s expertise and investment will greatly aid us in getting there. They are passionate about the hospitality industry and already have a portfolio of great products, including their world-famous hotel brands, and a successful technology arm.
I wanted to reassure you, our users, that nothing will change in the ethos of the business. I am staying on as CEO, the team you are used to dealing with are all secure in their jobs, and our pricing and operations structures will stay the same.
What will change is the development of ResDiary. Growing organically has always meant we have had steady development progress. However, with AccorHotel’s resources, we will be able to scale our development at pace.
The software you know and love will improve, and we have some really exciting features and updates in the pipeline.
The team and I are really delighted about this new era of ResDiary and we are looking forward to continuing our working relationship with you.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me or any of the ResDiary team directly.
